other (adj.) แปลว่า อื่นๆ สิ่งอื่น อันอื่น ใช้ว่างไว้หน้าคำนามเพื่อขยายคำ
Ex. - I don't like these books. Do you have any other books?
-These are dirty, I will wear my other shoes.
- I can't see you now, maybe, some other time.
the other (adj.) แปลว่า อื่นๆอีก อีกอัน คือ อีก 1 อันที่เหลือ
Ex. - I have two sisters. The first one is a doctor and the other one is a teacher.
One of my sister lives in Phuket and the other lives in Chiangmai.
- There are three books on my table. The first one is maths, another one is Thai and the other is English.
others (pro.) แปลว่า อื่นๆอีก คือ อื่นๆ ที่เราไม่ทราบจำนวนว่ามีเท่าไหร
Ex. -Two buildings were destroyed and many others damaged in the blast.
-I'm reading books while others play games.
-I don't like this book. Can you give me others?
The others (pro.) แปลว่า อื่นๆอีก คือ อื่นๆที่เหลือ ที่เราทราบจำนวนว่ามีเท่าไหร่
Ex. -There are 20 books there. The first one is maths, then second one is English and the others are Thai.
- There are 30 students in the class. Five of them are foreigners and the others are Thai.
another (det.,pro.) แปลว่า อื่นๆ อันอื่น อีกอัน อีกอันหนึ่ง ใช้นำหน้าคำนามนามนับได้เอกพจน์
Ex. - This room is too small, we are going to ask another one.
